Morning Wedding at the Lower Woodland Pond of the Washington Park Arboretum

The bride and groom just before their ceremony - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding OfficiantGene and Sarah have made their home in Jersey City but when it came time to wed, their hearts brought them to the Washington Park Arboretum.  (Sarah and her family had lived here in the past and loved it.)

The bride and groom made their wedding a destination for everyone.  They invited only their family and a few close friends.

We all gathered at the Graham Visitors Center at 10:00am on a Saturday morning.  Sarah and Gene shared their "first look" and then strolled to the wedding site.  The guests took the Azalea Way and the wedding party walked on another path, so there could be a procession through the woods to the pond.

The two selected the lower Woodland Pond with its deck out over the water to exchange their vows.  It is just big enough to accommodate their guests (a total of 13 people including them) and made a beautiful setting for the ceremony.  It is a very secluded, calm and quiet space.  Perfect for this size group.

Afterwards, photos were taken on the Arboretum grounds.  There were so many possibilities to choose from.

Wishing the Mr. and Mrs. a very bright and beautiful marriage, filled with vibrant adventures and peaceful interludes.
