Chris and Katy's 11-12-13 Wedding in Seattle

Katy & Chris wed on 11-12-13 - Patricia Stimac, A Heavenly Ceremony
November 12, 2013  --  11-12-13  --  is a wonderful day to wed!  Katy and Chris were so very excited and so very happy.  It was a pleasure just to be in their company.

According to numerologist and author Ruth Drayer, 11-12-13 numbers are considered lucky.

Eleven is a doorway into higher consciousness;
the number 12 is also balancing,
with '1' being masculine and '2' feminine,
and that it's in a year that adds up to six -- it's all about love, says Drayer, the author of the book "Numerology: The Power in Numbers."

Since Chris and Katy wanted a private ceremony, they exchanged their vows and their rings at our home office.  And then we headed just a few blocks away to Green Lake.

As you can see, it was an unbelievably beautiful November day.

This is where we made the ceremony legal!

11-12-13 is the day Katy and Chris married - Patricia Stimac, A Heavenly Ceremony
It all worked out effortlessly.

Chris and Katy were happy, I was happy, I think everyone at Green Lake was happy (that's what sun in Seattle in November does to people).  And when you add LOVE to the mix, it's all good.

Here's what Katy thought about her wedding day:

Pat is wonderful! This ceremony is just what we wanted! My husband and I were originally thinking of going to a court house but we ran into a problem about needing witnesses. When I found Pat online she was the answer to all my prayers! She had so many wonderful ideas about the ceremony and did not make me feel judged about how I wanted my wedding to be. She was also so flexible and understanding about us being late the day of the ceremony (we forgot the marriage certificate at home). Our wedding was amazing and something I will remember with great fondness. I am so grateful to Pat and would recommend her services to ANYONE and EVERYONE!

Wishing Chris and Katy a life together as perfect as their wedding day.

A Classic Wedding for a Classy Couple!

Amanda and Chris are wed!! Wedding ceremony officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
Amanda and Chris celebrated their marriage in a private ceremony surrounded by their mothers, siblings and other family members.  It was a classic wedding ceremony with colors of black and silver.  The ladies all wore peacock feathers in their hair.

Their vows were sweet and meaningful:
I promise to share my life with you
to be your friend, confidant, and strongest ally
to respect you in my words and actions,
both when we’re together and when we’re apart
to value you as an individual, partner, and equal
to honor you with trust and faithfulness
to nurture you in sickness and in health
to help you navigate life’s trials and accept your guidance
to seek new adventures wherever we may find ourselves
to help you forge the path to your dreams
to communicate with you when life gets complicated
to celebrate the good times and weather the bad
to find a way back to you when distance comes between us
to keep humor and laughter alive in our life
            to love you forever.
Wishing these two the happiest of marriages!

Thanks to Erika, Chris's sister, for the photo.

Sun Shines its Blessing on this Salish Elopement

Intimate wedding at the Salish Lodge & Spa officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Elope

Jan and Chip traveled from Spokane to wed at the Salish Lodge and Spa.  But first Chip ran a marathon (go man go - I was quite impressed), then the two toured Seattle, and last ... but not least ... they got married.

Their path to husband and wife was not without a few bumps so the two were quite grateful to exchange their vows.

Mist rising from Snoqualmie Falls - Intimate wedding officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Elope
As you know September weather in the Pacific Northwest is unpredictable.  The day began with a few sprinkles and by afternoon, all that remained was a mist over the falls.  Bit by bit the sun attempted to make its way through the clouds.

Even so, the falls were spectacular!

We decided the ceremony should take place on the balcony.   It was quite sweet and touching.  Love is so amazing!

Vows were said and rings exchanged.  The marriage was sealed with a kiss.

Just then, the sun broke through the clouds in a blessing from nature for the bride and groom.  It was a magic moment.

Look at this!  Isn't this the best.

Just loved the moment.

Ian and Jeff Wed at Alki Beach

Jeff and Ian are about to wed - Ceremony officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
This elopement was so very fun.

First, American Express Business Concierge called me about a couple who wanted to marry later in the week.

OK ... this was the first time I've been contacted in this way and I kept waiting for some type of solitication.  But no! The concierge was actually gathering information.  It was both quite surprising and quite serendipitous.

The couple turned out to be Jeff and Ian.  They live in Vegas but were traveling to Seattle and wanted to wed.

Three of their friends decided to surprise them and joined them at Alki Beach.

Tom Ellis, the photographer, suggested a quiet beach for the ceremony.  It was away of the bustle of most of Alki.

The ceremony was sweet and simple ... and very emotional.

It was a joy to officiate for Jeff and Ian.

Sweet Wedding Ceremony at the Salish Lodge

Heidi is one of the most joyful and enthusiastic brides I've met.  It was a pleasure to meet her and her fiance, John.

The two invited a few friends and held their wedding ceremony in the Cliffside Room.  John's sons, Caleb and Jeremiah, were his groomsmen and Heidi's niece, Maddie, was her maid of honor.

It was an absolutely golden day -- perfect for a wedding!

Wishing these childhood sweethearts decades of happiness!!

Green Lake Wedding Complete with Canada Geese

What a fun wedding!  Jeremy and Jennifer stopped by our place for a private wedding ceremony before heading to Puerto Vallarta to celebrate a formal wedding with 22 of their family members and closest friends.

Jennifer arrived carrying her wedding gown ... and curious thoughts of transporting her wedding dress through the airport and onto the air plane came to mind.  Looking forward to hearing more in the near future.

After preparing the marriage documents so they would be easily signed after the ceremony, off the three went (Kent officiated) to nearby Green Lake (we are just blocks away).

During the ceremony, the Canada geese arrived.  One pair honked on the lake and then flew away as Kent spoke about Jennifer and Jeremy embarking on a new stage in their lives.  How synchronistic is that!

Then, while the couple exchanged their vows, Momma Goose, Pappa Goose and their goslings toddled over and plopped themselves down right next to Jeremy and Jennifer.  They remained there, gazing up at the newlyweds! So cute, so adorable.

After the personal part of the ceremony, two of the Green Lakers were invited to witness the marriage.  What a special way to celebrate a sunny day in Seattle!

Then it was time for Jennifer and Jeremy to make it legal!   And to head off to Mexico (Las Caletas to be exact) ... hasta luego.

Wishing the newlyweds a most excellent life together.

Family Wedding Ceremony Celebrated at the Salish Lodge

Casey & Courtney at Salish Lodge - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

It was a true joy to officiate for Courtney and Casey at the Salish Lodge.  The day was one of sun and rain ... but the timing was perfect to capture some outdoor photos (Jenny GG doing the honors).

I Do for Two - Willows Lodge Wedding of Krista and Johnny

I Do For Two at Willows Lodge - Officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant Krista traveled from Arkansas, Johnny from Vancouver to wed at the Willows Lodge.  They decided on the "I Do for Two" option, which includes:
  • Luxurious accommodations in a NICER style room
  • Rose petal drawn bath
  • Bottle of champagne
  • Breakfast in bed for two
  • Commemorative Willows Lodge frame
  • Two witnesses for the ceremony

Johnny did his dissertation on Virginia Satir, therapist and author, who is one of my inspirations. (The couple gifted with me a booklet of her sayings and thoughts.  It is a gift I truly treasure.)

The ceremony took place in the library.  Dale, on staff at Willows Lodge, was kind about taking photos for us and serving as one of the witnesses.

This was a unique ceremony for me.  The couple asked me to speak from the heart, rather than prepare a written ceremony for them.  It turned out beautifully!

Potholder to present the wedding rings - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
One very special part of the day was this potholder, on which the wedding rings were presented.  It was given to a close friend of Virginia Satir as a house warming gift so it was the perfect "ring holder."

Johnny, Krista and Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

We all were very sentimental and very happy.

Pat, we appreciate you so very much.  Our wedding ceremony was both loving and genuine, exactly what we hoped for.

Thank you for more than officiating -- for guiding our wonderful wedding experience.  Your heart and knowledge blended beautifully for us!
                  ~Johnny and Krista

Congratulations to Johnny and Krista, Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

The newlyweds enjoyed their evening meal, topped by chocolate-covered strawberries and words of congratulations.

Wishing the fortunate couple a happy and long life together!

Greg and Michelle's Romantic Wedding at the Salish

Greg loves Michelle - Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
"A hundred hearts would be too few
to carry all my love for you."
                               ~Unknown

The weekend nearest Valentine's Day is always a popular one to wed.  It is such a romantic time of the year. It was the perfect time for Michelle and Greg to marry at the Salish Lodge and Spa.

Mason walks with his mother, Michelle - Wedding Ceremony celebrated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

Michelle's son, Mason, walked the bride in.  Michelle was dressed in a beautiful wedding gown from Cicada Bridal

Then, the ceremony began.  It included a quote from Leo Tolstoy:

I already love in you your beauty,
but I am only beginning to love in you
that which is eternal and ever precious
                  - your heart, your soul.

Both were so happy to wed ... and to share the moment with the people closest to them.  Greg's brother, Mike, and sister-in-law, Cathleen, plus their two friends, Ken and Karen.  Everyone was smiling ... and there were a few tears of joy shed.

It was a pleasure to meet Michelle and Greg.

The happy newly wed: Greg and Michelle at the Salish Lodge and Spa
Looking at the bride and groom, the words from this poem came to mind.

My world before me is perfect.
There's nowhere else I want to be ...

Nothing could be more right,
There's nowhere else I want to be.
Let's take a walk my only love,
Hand in hand, you and me.

Wishing Greg and Michelle the very best in their life together.
