Krista traveled from Arkansas, Johnny from Vancouver to wed at the Willows Lodge. They decided on the "I Do for Two" option, which includes:
- Luxurious accommodations in a NICER style room
- Rose petal drawn bath
- Bottle of champagne
- Breakfast in bed for two
- Commemorative Willows Lodge frame
- Two witnesses for the ceremony
Johnny did his dissertation on Virginia Satir, therapist and author, who is one of my inspirations. (The couple gifted with me a booklet of her sayings and thoughts. It is a gift I truly treasure.)
The ceremony took place in the library. Dale, on staff at Willows Lodge, was kind about taking photos for us and serving as one of the witnesses.
This was a unique ceremony for me. The couple asked me to speak from the heart, rather than prepare a written ceremony for them. It turned out beautifully!
One very special part of the day was this potholder, on which the wedding rings were presented. It was given to a close friend of Virginia Satir as a house warming gift so it was the perfect "ring holder."
We all were very sentimental and very happy.
Pat, we appreciate you so very much. Our wedding ceremony was both loving and genuine, exactly what we hoped for.
Thank you for more than officiating -- for guiding our wonderful wedding experience. Your heart and knowledge blended beautifully for us!
~Johnny and Krista
The newlyweds enjoyed their evening meal, topped by chocolate-covered strawberries and words of congratulations.
Wishing the fortunate couple a happy and long life together!
