Valentine's Day Wedding: Christian and Katie Marry at the Salish Lodge

Valentine's Day Wedding at Salish Lodge officiated by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant
How romantic is this for a Valentine's Day wedding?  And is there a more spectacular a setting than Snoqualmie Falls?

Hand-in-hand Katie and Christian prepared for their ceremony.  The bride wore bracelets with the names of loved ones.  In this way she included them in her special moment.

The bride and groom only had eyes for each other.  It always gives me "goose bumps" when I witness the love present at a wedding ceremony.

The two met at Bumbershoot in 2008.  They both share a passion for music and soon realized they were in love: they couldn’t stop thinking of each other and missed each the other when they weren't together.

K
atie and Christian included a reading from Ecclesiastes:

For everything there is a season
and a time for every matter under heaven:
... a time to love!

Today I place this ring on your hand.
It symbolizes the bond that is never-ending.
But when you need to know
the depth of my love for you,
Look not to the ring but into my heart.

And so Katie and Christian became Mr. and Mrs.!

Love Melts the Snow at Laura and Phil's Winter Wedding

Laura and Phil marry at Alexander's Country Inn
Phil and Laura traveled all the way from Texas to wed at Alexander's Country Inn and Restaurant near Mt. Rainier National Park!

You see they visited the Park before and had a special moment at Narada Falls so it was the natural choice for their intimate ceremony.

Alexander's Country Inn is the perfect place for an intimate winter wedding

Loved the outfits!!  A classic black-and-white wedding.

(Alexander's also congratulates the couple on their sign!)

Kent and I had so much fun this afternoon!  Chris and Morgan celebrated their ceremony which was witnessed by their parents and friend.

T
he attire was creative, the people were friendly, the event was joyous!

Chris and Tim arrived in street clothes and transformed into their medieval alter egos.

Soon after, Morgan arrived and stayed out of sight so she could make her grand entrance with her father, Rene.

Vows were exchanged and a ring given to seal their promises.

And, the way the bride and groom looked at each other was totally engaging.

Afterwards, a hand washing ritual took place.  The idea is that the past is cleared away and the two begin their life together anew.

The Lingerie Addict - A Blog All Brides Will Enjoy!

The Lingerie Addict - Cora Harrington Posted by Patricia Stimac, Seattle Wedding Officiant

Tonight I had the honor to meet Cora and her fiance, Nick. And I'm delighted to be officiating for them next month.

As the two were about to leave, I offered them a copy of Seattle Met Bride and Groom.  She said she was familiar with it ... then, opened to Page 98, where she is featured!!!!

What a fun surprise.

Cora is the creator of The Lingerie Addict, a blog you will definitely want to check out.

She is described as "The locally based and internationally recognized online lingerie expert ... and she's got only one mission:  to help women understand and appreciate gorgeous lingerie."

So I had to check out her site.  I loved it ... and so will you!!!

Alaska Couple Wed In Seattle During the Holidays!

The winter holidays are my most favorite of the year.  During the darkest part of the year, they are the light ... the promise of a new spring and hopefully a great summer.

So weddings in December are always special.

Steve and Jeanette flew from Alaska to Seattle to celebrate their wedding at the Seattle Grand Hyatt.  Jeanette decided to stay with the colors of the season and wore a bias cut red dress. And Steve wore a tie to match!

The hotel was beautifully decorated so there was a number of places the two could take photographs.

The marriage took place in their suite.  Jeanette prepared in the bedroom and made her grand entrance to her special song.  We all were very happy to see her.

I love these words from their ceremony:

The hand which you each offer to the other is an extension of yourselves; just as is the warmth and love which you express to each other.  Cherish the touch, for you are touching another life. Be sensitive to its pulse, and try to understand and respect its flow and rhythm, just as you do your own.

All went well and the bride and groom celebrated with a kiss after they exchanged their vows and their rings.

After making it "legal," off they went to Pioneer Square for their wedding photographs.

(It was cold that day ... I'm impressed that Jeanette seemed to take it all in stride.  Those Alaska women are pretty special.)

Then, on to Kerry Park which has one of the best views of downtown Seattle and Elliott Bay.

It was a pleasure to actually met with Jeanette and Steve after planning their ceremony long distance.  They looked so happy together!

Wishing the Mr. and Mrs. a loving and lasting marriage!

Many thanks to Dani Weiss for her photographs ... and to the staff at the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
